In Virginia, “Election Season” begins 45 days prior to “Election Day.” Regardless of whether one is voting in person or absentee/by mail, this wide window provides ample opportunity and a lot of flexibility for each voter to choose the time and method that is most suitable to cast his/her ballot.
For more information on the different ways Virginia voters can cast their ballot, visit our Ways to Vote page here in the Citizens Portal.
Voting on Election Day? #
The date and times for the next Election Day are posted on the Prince William County Office of Elections web site.
Voting Early? #
If you choose to participate in early voting, you will not be casting your ballot at the local precinct where you typically vote on Election Day.
During the early voting period, a handful of convenient locations (i.e. DMV, library, etc.) are selected across the county so that no voter will have to travel very far to visit one.
Those locations, and the times at which they will be open, are also posted on the Prince William County Office of Elections web site.
Choose your method and your time, and go vote!
