Nothing we own can be maintained or cared for only once every four years and be expected to last or remain in good condition; our government and our freedoms are no exception to this rule.
The simplest yet most profound thing that any of us can do to help preserve our freedom and our Republic is to be vigilant and active participants in its processes, and that must go well beyond merely casting a vote every two or four years.
The opportunities for involvement are wide and varied. Become a sworn Election Officer, serve as a poll watcher or volunteer at the polls during early voting or on Election Day, help your favorite candidate by volunteering for his/her campaign. None of these things is as complicated or time-consuming as most people seem to believe.
Don’t leave these responsibilities for others to assume. WE must get/stay involved and encourage our friends and neighbors to do the same.
