Have you ever complained about the lack of election integrity?
Honest elections require the participation of people of integrity in their administration. Virginia code requires “parity” at the polls, meaning both parties must have equal representation of Election Officers where possible.
Duties
- Set-up/breakdown of the polling place
- Check voter credentials against the poll books
- Adjudicate questionable situations (i.e. voter not in the poll books, no/incorrect I.D., incorrect address, wrong precinct, etc.)
- Set-up/run/monitor the ballot scanners
- Ensure the security of the ballot box
Requirements

- Attend one morning/afternoon of formal training which is provided by the Prince William County Office of Elections.
- Work all day on Election Day. The county pays these officers ~$200 (varies slightly depending on your assigned duties).
